The Locust
This winged creature is often named the "swarming" phase of short-horned Grasshoppers. They are six inches in length and become migratory. They breed rapidly and form bands as nymphs and create "swarms" as adults. They can travel great distances as a swarm, which is a response to overcrowding. This is triggered when their hind legs are increasingly stimulated, which can create the transformation to a swarm where they rapidly strip fields and damage crops. These creatures have amazing speed and agility.

The Consuming Mosquito The mosquitoes are a family of small, midge-like flies. Although a few species are harmless or even useful to humanity, most are a nuisance because they consume blood from living vertebrates, including humans. The females of many species of mosquitoes are blood eating pests. In feeding on blood, some of them transmit extremely harmful human and livestock diseases, such as malaria, yellow fever and filariasis. Some authorities argue accordingly that mosquitoes are the most dangerous animals on Earth.

The Mythological Phoenix
It is described as a bird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue and green according to some legends). It has a 500 to 1000 year life cycle near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites. Legend has it both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new young Phoenix or Phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again.
The Pig
A pig is any of the animals in the genus Sus, within the Suidae family of even-toed ungulates. Pigs include the domestic pig, its ancestor the wild boar, and several other wild relatives. Pigs are omnivores and are highly social and intelligent animals. A typical pig has a large head with a long snout which is strengthened by a special prenasal bone and by a disk of cartilage at the tip. The snout is used to dig into the soil to find food and is a very acute sense organ. There are four hoofed toes on each trotter (foot), with the two larger central toes bearing most of the weight, but the outer two also being used in soft ground.

The Massive Polar Bear The polar bear is a bear native largely within the Arctic Circle encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. It is the world's largest land carnivore and also the largest bear, together with the omnivorous Kodiak bear, which is approximately the same size. A boar (adult male) weighs around 500-700 pounds, while a sow (adult female) is about half that size. Although it is closely related to the brown bear, it has evolved to occupy a narrower ecological niche, with many body characteristics adapted for cold temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting the seals which make up most of its diet. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time at sea.
The Praying Mantis
Mantodea is an order of insects that contains over 2,400 valid species and about 430 genera in 15 families worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats. Most of the species are in the family Mantidae. The English common name for any species in the order is "praying mantis", because of the typical "prayer-like" attitude with folded fore-limbs, although the eggcorn "preying mantis" is sometimes used in reference to their predatory habits. In Europe and other regions, however, the name "praying mantis" refers to only a single species, Mantis religiosa. The closest relatives of mantises are the termites and cockroaches. They are sometimes confused with phasmids (stick orleaf insects) and other elongated insects such as grasshoppers and crickets.
