Sybil Ludington

Sybil Ludington (1761-1839)
Called “the Female Paul Revere,” sixteen-year-old Sybil Ludington’s Revolutionary War ride was much longer than Revere’s celebrated feat.
The American Revolutionary War is filled with war heroes such as George Washington, Patrick Henry, and Paul Revere, who is known for his famous ride to warn of British troop arrival.  His Massachusetts ride is known by many, but he is not the only one to ride through the night. In fact, one girl rode further.

The Simple Medieval Castle

Details

On Sale Now !

The Simple Medieval Castle

A castle is a type of fortified structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle Ages by nobility. Scholars debate the scope of the word castle, but usually consider it to be the private fortified residence of a lord or noble. This is distinct from a palace, which is not fortified; from a fortress, which was not always a residence for nobility; and from a fortified settlement, which was a public defence – though there are many similarities among these types of construction. Usage of the term has varied over time and has been applied to structures as diverse as hill forts and country houses. Over the approximately 900 years that castles were built they took on a great many forms with many different features, although some, such as curtain walls and arrowslits, were commonplace.

The Victorian Gothic Mansion

Details

On Sale Now !

The Victorian Gothic Mansion

Gothic architecture is a style of architecture that flourished during the high and late
medieval period. It evolved from Romanesque architecture and was succeeded by
Renaissance architecture.
In the United Kingdom, former British colonies, and the United states a Victorian house
generally means any house built during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837–1901). During
the Industrial Revolution successive housing booms resulted in the building of many
millions of Victorian houses which are now a defining feature of most British towns and
cities.
This house was inspired by Sandra Bullocks Beautiful Victorian Mansion in New Orleans.
Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock and her then-husband, Jesse James, bought this
Gothic Victorian mansion in New Orleans in 2009 for $2,250,000 for a second home. The
property is 6,615 square feet, with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
This house is Absolutely Stunning!

Castle Siege (Premium Model)

Castle Siege MakeCNC 3D Scene.

This is yet another new innovation from the workshops of makeCNC!

Please Note:   Many parts of this model are very detailed at lower scale like 1/8th and 3mm material thickness and if cut by a CNC router will require very tiny bits to be able to cut all the details.  We recommend that Router users cut at at least 1/4 or 6mm scale and still use the smallest bit possible to retain detail. If you understand feeds and speeds well for your router you can still cut these files at 1/8th and 3mm or even smaller but please understand that they are complex and will require some forethought to achieve good results at small scale using a CNC router.

The Models of The Castle and Soldiers are Full 3D Models!

The Manor House Mansion

manor house is a country house that historically formed the administrative centre of a manor, the lowest unit of territorial organisation in the feudal system in Europe. The term is applied to country houses that belonged to the gentry and other grand stately homes. There were manor houses in most European countries, where they were sometimes referred to as castles, palaces, and so on.

"Manor house" is also a technical term in the UK for a minor late-medieval English country house. They were often fortified but this was intended more for show than for defense.

Gothic architecture is a style of architecture that flourished during the high and late
medieval period. It evolved from Romanesque architecture and was succeeded by
Renaissance architecture.
Originating in 12th-century France and lasting into the 16th century, Gothic
architecture was known during the period as Opus Francigenum, "French work", with the
term Gothic first appearing during the latter part of the Renaissance. Its
characteristics include the pointed arch, the ribbed vault and the flying buttress.
Gothic architecture is most familiar as the architecture of many of the great

The Mediterranean Villa

A villa was originally an ancient Roman upper-class country house. Since its origins in the Roman villa, the idea and function of a villa have evolved considerably. After the fall of the Roman Republic, villas became small farming compounds, which were increasingly fortified in Late Antiquity, sometimes transferred to the Church for reuse as a monastery. Then they gradually re-evolved through the Middle Ages, into elegant upper-class country homes. In modern parlance 'villa' can refer to a various types and sizes of residences, ranging from the suburban "semi-detached" double villa to residences in the wildland-urban interface.

The Parsonage House

A clergy, or Parsonage house is the residence, or former residence, of one or more priests or ministers of religion. These homes are typically owned and maintained by a church, as a benefit to its clergy. The practice exists in many denominations because of the tendency of clergy to be transferred from one church to another at relatively frequent intervals. Catholic Parsonage houses in particular may be lived in by several priests from a parish. Parsonage houses frequently serve as the administrative office of the local parish as well as a residence; they are normally located next to, or at least close to, the church their occupant serves.
