Spaceship One

The SpaceShipOne is a suborbital air-launched spaceplane that completed the first manned private spaceflight in 2004. That same year, it won the US$10 million Ansari X Prize and was immediately retired from active service. Its mother ship was named "White Knight". Both craft were developed and flown by Mojave Aerospace Ventures, which was a joint venture between Paul Allen and Scaled Composites, Burt Rutan's aviation company. Allen provided the funding of approximately US$25 million.

Group of Ducks

Duck is the common name for a large number of species in the Anatidae family of birds, which also includes swans and geese. The ducks are divided among several subfamilies in the Anatidae family; they do not represent a monophyletic group the group of all descendants of a single common ancestral species but a form taxon, since swans and geese are not considered ducks. Ducks are mostly aquatic birds, mostly smaller than the swans and geese, and may be found in both fresh water and sea water.

Sputnik

Sputnik 1 was the first artificial Earth satellite. It was a 58 cm (23 in) diameter polished metal sphere, with four external radio antennas to broadcast radio pulses. The Soviet Union launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957. It was visible all around the Earth and its radio pulses were detectable. The surprise success precipitated the American Sputnik crisis and triggered the Space Race, a part of the larger Cold War. The launch ushered in new political, military, technological, and scientific developments.

Reading Gypsy Wagon

The Reading or kite wagon is so named due to its straight sides that slope outwards towards the eaves, high arched wheels, and relative light weight; there is no other vardo that epitomizes the golden age of Romani horse travel. It dates from (1870) and is synonymous with the original builder Dauton and Sons of Reading where the vardo takes its name. The wagon was highly prized by the Romanies for its aesthetic design, beauty and practicality to cross fords, pull off road and over rough ground, something smaller-wheeled wagons like the Burton were unable to do.

Pot Cart Gypsy Wagon

The Pot Cart is like all gypsy vehicles highly decorated in the traditional styles and colours. When viewed from the side the Pot cart's boat shape can be clearly seen. This boat shape with its many compound angles makes the model maker's task more difficult and demanding. Thus a time consuming model to build and decorate.

Burton Gypsy Wagon

Popular with Romanis, as well as Showmen families, and circus people, the Burton wagon is the oldest example of a wagon used as home in Britain. Originally, with its undecorated van, the Burton wagon evolved into an elaborate Romani vardo, but due to its smaller wheels it was not suited for off-road use.

The Boeing 777

The Boeing 777 is a family of long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliners
developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's
largest twinjet and has a typical seating capacity for 314 to 451 passengers, with
a range of 5,235 to 9,380 nautical miles. Commonly referred to as the "Triple
Seven", its distinguishing features include the largest-diameter turbofan engines
of any aircraft, six wheels on each main landing gear, a circular fuselage cross-
section, and a blade-shaped tail cone. Developed in consultation with eight major
airlines, the 777 was designed to replace older wide-body airliners and bridge the
capacity difference between Boeing's 767 and 747. As Boeing's first fly-by-wire
airliner, it has computer-mediated controls. It is also the first entirely
computer-aided designed commercial aircraft.

Easter Basket

Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given out to celebrate the Easter
holiday. The custom of the Easter egg may have existed in the early Christian
community of Mesopotamia, who stained eggs red in memory of the blood of Christ,
shed at his crucifixion. In later traditions the egg is also a symbol of the empty
tomb. The oldest tradition is to use dyed chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to
substitute eggs made from chocolate, or plastic eggs filled with candy such as
jellybeans.
