TB2 - Heavy Duty Pod Transporter

Thunderbird Two, Giant Transporter, carries all the rescue gear to the danger
zone.
Thunderbird 2 is International Rescue's heavy equipment transporter, used
primarily for missions dealing specifically with the Earth's atmosphere. It is
the transport vehicle for several smaller rescue vehicles held in pods, although
its capacity for heavy lifting makes it useful in its own right during many
rescues. A long-range craft, it is capable reaching anywhere in the world without
refuelling and has a maximum speed of 5000 mph but cruises at 2000 mph. It
therefore arrives at the danger zone later than Thunderbird 1.The craft's main
pilot is Virgil Tracy, who is sometimes accompanied by some back-up crew members
including Gordon, Alan, Brains, and even John.
One crew Pilot with addition seats for back-up crew member for extra long flight.
Powerplant: 2 x Hybrid variable-cycle gas turbine scram-jets engines, with
afterburner, Supercruise capability, and thrust-vectored nozzles.
Combined with 4 x variable cycle booster jets in tail plane, 8 x vertical take
off variable engines also for hovering, and 4 x vertical take off Hybrid
Chemical-Solid retro rockets in legs.
Power Source: Atomic fusion reactor.

Gerry Anderson, MBE was an English television and film producer, director, writer and occasional voice artist. He was known for his futuristic television programmes, especially his 1960s productions filmed with "Supermarionation" marionette puppets containing electric moving parts.
Anderson's first television production was the 1957 Roberta Leigh children's series The Adventures of Twizzle. Supercar (1961–62) and Fireball XL5 (1962) followed later, both series breaking into the US television market in the early 1960s. In the mid-1960s Anderson produced his most successful series, Thunderbirds. Other television productions of the 1960s include Stingray and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

Thunderbirds is a British science-fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, filmed by their production company AP Films (APF) and distributed by ITC Entertainment. It was produced between 1964 and 1966 using a form of electronic marionette puppetry (dubbed "Supermarionation") combined with scale model special effects sequences. Two series were filmed, comprising a total of 32 episodes. Production ceased after Lew Grade, the Andersons' financial backer, failed in his efforts to sell the programme to American network television.
Widely considered to be the Andersons' most popular and commercially successful series, Thunderbirds has received particular praise for its effects directed by Derek Meddings and musical score composed by Barry Gray. It is also well remembered for its title sequence, which opens with an often-quoted countdown by actor Peter Dyneley who voiced the character of Jeff: "5, 4, 3, 2, 1: Thunderbirds Are Go!" A real-life rescue service, the International Rescue Corps, is named after the organisation featured in the series.
